  • Yearly Print Directory: Graduate Programs in Physics, Astronomy, and Related Fields

Printed Publication

2012 Graduate Programs in Physics, Astronomy and Related Fields

Since 1965, the American Institute of Physics has produced the yearly printed publication, “Graduate Programs in Physics, Astronomy and Related Fields,” a comprehensive resource featuring in-depth and updated information about graduate programs in the sciences.

This year’s edition, “2012 Graduate Programs in Physics, Astronomy and Related Fields,” is available for purchase on Amazon or directly from the publisher.

Sophisticated Search Engine

Since 2000, the information collected for the printed publication has been presented in an online resource allowing for search and browsing through the departmental profiles. Sophisticated Search Engine

In 2011, the American Institute of Physics launched the official, revamped, and updated “” resource, creating a robust, extensive up-to-date search engine resource for students.

Every graduate department submits its information through online submission forms, detailing its program information, research specialties, faculty information, admissions and financial aid information, and more. The information is then featured in the printed publication and on the site.

Submissions for the 2013 academic year publication will begin shortly. Would you like to see your graduate program’s information featured on the site and in the book? Contact us!

Student Community Resource Site

To expand the services given to students, the GradschoolShopper team has produced a multimedia community resource site meant for potential graduate students. The site features a podcast, a series of advice articles for degree seekers, browsing lists for graduate programs, and an online community.

Target Market

  • Prospective graduate students looking to discover the best graduate program for them
  • Graduate department leaders and recruiters seeking to promote and benchmark their programs, as well as access and recruit graduate students, postdoctoral candidates, and faculty
